Question Title Unable to add e-mail address to a distribution group

In Office 365 you’re unable to add an extra e-mail address to a distribution group.

This can’t be done in the Exchange Admin Console (EAC), this can only been done by the Exchange management shell !

You receive this error:

Conversion from Microsoft.Exchange.Management.ControlPanel.EmailAddressItem to Microsoft.Exchange.Data.ProxyAddress has not been implemented.

Therefore you need to use the Exchange Management Shell :

 Set-DistributionGroup DistributionGroupName -emailaddresses @{Add=’postmaster@domain.nl’,'hostmaster@domain.nl’,'webmaster@domain.nl’}

When checking this in the console, you’ll see that the added e-mail addresses, are visible in the console.

Connect To Office 365:

$LiveCred = Get-Credential

$Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange-ConnectionUri https://ps.outlook.com/powershell/ -Credential $LiveCred -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection

Import-PSSession $Session
